Monitor Color Distortion

I had 1D0J9AA#ABA monitor as additional display for MacBook Pro and suddenly its colors got distorted.It was connected via HDMI cable to laptop. When took out the cable and plugged back in , the colors were realized. Never realized a loose cable can do this.
